• Desktop Automation Manager - automates all facets of virtual desktop management, from power management to task scheduling including application deployment and operating system operations
• Desktop Lifecycle Manager - automates the provisioning and mass production of desktops and servers from a single golden image including Active Directory integration
• Desktop Integrity Manager - automates the reversal of the desktop state to its original condition upon reboot
• Delegated Administration Manager - essential for large scale deployments, enables the logical presentation of desktop infrastructure assets in geographic zones, and allows fine-grained delegated administrative responsibility to be shared among staff members
• Desktop Reclamation Manager - automates the deletion of desktops and their removal from Active Directory upon expiration

Quest vWorkspace offers the only end-to-end virtual desktop management platform addressing enterprise computing needs across terminal services, VDI and blade PCs for task users, knowledge workers and power users respectively. An integrated solution with a central Command and Control Center for various deployment models across the enterprise, vWorkspace is comprised of multiple components:

1. Virtual Access Connection Broker: Highly scalable service with built-in load distribution, the connection broker is responsible for VM pool management, status monitoring, fault management, policy enforcement, and client connectivity arbitration to terminal servers, VDI and blade PCs.
2. Access Infrastructure: Sophisticated access portal including the Web interface and SSL gateway, enabling virtually any end-point device or thin client to securely connect and access a vWorkspace-enabled virtual desktop infrastructure.

Enhanced End-User Experience and Last-Mile Features: Coupled with Quest’s Experience Optimized Protocol, vWorkspace offers desktop and application publishing, seamless windows, up to 4096X2048 screen resolutions, multi-monitor support, single sign-on, smartcard authentication, USB redirection, user profile management, and a universal print driver, ensuring an optimized PC-like user experience.
