About SEWP VI
The NASA SEWP (Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement) GWAC (Government-Wide Acquisition Contract) provides the latest in Information Technology, Communication and Audio Visual (ITC/AV) products and services for all Federal Agencies and their approved contractors. The statutory authority allowing usage of the SEWP contracts by the entire Federal Government is NASA’s designation as an Executive Agent by OMB based on the Information Technology Management Reform Act (ITMRA) of 1996, now the Clinger-Cohen Act.
SEWP Mission
The SEWP Program enables NASA and all Federal Agencies to efficiently and effectively acquire mission critical Information Technology, Communication and Audio Visual (ITC/AV) solutions and services via a suite of contracts encompassing a diversity of business sizes and offerings. SEWP’s customized reporting, streamlined procurement processes, innovative applications, premier customer service, acquisition insight and Government/Industry partnership deliver the Best-in-Class value for the Federal Government.

Who Can Use SEWP
The SEWP VI contract is for use by all Federal Agencies and their authorized Federal Agency Contractors. Authorized contractors are able to buy directly from the SEWP VI contract in support of other Federal Government contracts. The SEWP Business Operations & Workstation Laboratory (BOWL) manages the SEWP program and puts a small administration surcharge (0.34%) on all contract orders. Additional information about SEWP can be found on sewp.nasa.gov.

Fair Opportunity Clause
The NASA SEWP VI contract supports FAR 16.505(b)(1), Fair Opportunity, which require that each contractor shall be given fair opportunity to be considered for each order exceeding the micro-purchase limit, typically under $10,000, and issued under multiple award contracts. This can be by providing the opportunity to all contract holders in any one of the individually competed Contract Groups or selected set-asides. These include Group A, B-HUBZone, B- SDVOSB, C, and D. The set-asides are Full and Open, HUBZone, VOSB, WOSB, SB, or SDVOSB.
